You don’t need to be an early riser to kick off a morning routine. You could wake up at 5:30 AM and still not be considered an early riser — it’s all about how you see yourself. I’m not an early riser. Most people would not consider an 8:30 AM or 9:30 AM an early wake-up.How Can Sleep Deprivation Affect Your Wellbeing?

You just need to create a routine that helps you get through your day. What do your weekends usually compose of? And, what do you want to do on your weekends? Those are questions that you should focus on then you’ll figure out a strategy for errands and doing things you love to do.

I’m not going to tell you how your morning routine should go but I will give you ideas on things to add to your routine.

How to create your morning routine:

Wake up a little bit earlier.

Life could be just a bit easier if we woke up earlier than our usual scheduled wake-up call. Some of us might feel that way and others don’t. I feel like if I were to get out of bed a little bit earlier, I could accomplish maybe one or two things before starting off my day. That is how I feel about being an early riser. I’m not saying you should become an early riser or to wake up before the sun comes up but getting out of bed before lunch/brunch hours could help out here and there.

Try to workout in the morning.

The weekends are the perfect time to get a workout in. Especially if you are trying to workout in the mornings before work. You can train yourself to get your workout in, in the morning and feel good after the fact.https://www.verywellmind.com/morning-routine-4174576

Set a goal for the day.

Start your morning routine off with a weekend goal book and cross off each goal as you accomplish it on a different weekend. You’ll get a lot of things that you have been wanting to do, done. You never know, your goal might just take up five minutes or an hour of your day but you’ll kick it off with an accomplishment. Make yourself proud and do something that you’ve been wanting to do. Set that goal for the day and be happy for yourself.

Make time for breakfast.

If you skip breakfast that is a no. You should never pass up on the biggest meal of the day. Make sure that you remember to nourish your body. You have to remember that you just had a good 6 to 8+ hours of sleep and your body was fasting so you need to fuel it. A lot of people tend to shrug off eating the right amount of meals during the weekend but you should make sure to add that to your agenda so your body can thank you.

Add self-care to your morning routine.

You probably hear about self-care a lot and it’s important. You need to insert self-care into your life to take care of yourself. At this point in your life, you need to make sure that you take days to keep your mental state intact. Many people work themselves to death and we need to remember to take days for ourselves.

Invest some time in your hobby.

The mornings are the best time to invest in your hobbies—not with money but with your time. You could set aside an hour to read a book that you need to break in or start a painting that you have been meaning to finish. It’s all about allocating your time to the right things especially the things that matter the most to you. You can take an hour or two out of the day to organize if that is your thing or to watch that new movie that you have had your eye on.

Own your morning routine

Focus on one or two things to add to your routine as you start to create it. You don’t have to add all of the things all at once but you should consider them as you try to start your weekends off on a better note.
